These terms apply to the TV Cleaner app and this website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who we are
TV Cleaner is made by Kylan Studio, Paris. You can reach us at [support email].
2. What TV Cleaner does
TV Cleaner connects from your phone to an Android TV or Google TV on your home Wi-Fi, after you switch on developer options and network debugging on that TV and press "Allow". It can then turn apps off (they are switched off, never deleted), install a clean home screen, and change some TV settings. Every change is shown to you before it happens.
3. Your TV, your choice
- Use TV Cleaner only on TVs you own or are allowed to change.
- You switch on developer options yourself. It is a standard Android TV feature; if you are unsure whether your TV maker allows it, check their terms first.
- TV Cleaner is built to be reversible: it saves a backup before the first change, keeps a history of changes, and offers undo and "Restore all". Apps the TV needs to work are locked.
- TVs differ, and a firmware update from your TV maker can switch apps back on or change how the TV behaves. We can't promise that every model behaves the same way.
4. Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for non-commercial use. Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it. Parts of TV Cleaner are open source and stay under their own licences: it is based on the tv-vibehack project (MIT licence).
5. Fair use
Don't use TV Cleaner to access devices without permission, to overload or attack our servers, or to work around limits such as the free uses of the photo helper. Only photograph your TV screen with the photo helper.
6. Pro and purchases
TV Cleaner Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to the payment. The subscription terms below explain renewals, cancellation and what happens when Pro ends.
7. Other services
Some features rely on other companies: Apple and Google for purchases and sign-in, AI providers for the photo helper, and weather and holiday data for Pro widgets. How they handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will work without errors on every TV or that it will always be available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for TV Cleaner in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited by contract.
10. Trademarks
TV Cleaner is not affiliated with Google, Sony, Xiaomi, TCL or any TV maker. Android TV and Google TV are trademarks of Google LLC. Other names belong to their owners.
11. Changes and ending
We may update these terms when the app changes; we'll update the date above and tell you in the app about important changes. You can stop using TV Cleaner at any time, and you can restore your TV before you do.
Subscription terms (TV Cleaner Pro)
- Plans: monthly and yearly subscriptions, and a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your App Store / Google Play account. Manage or cancel in your store account settings (the app's "Manage subscription" button opens them).
- Free trial: [none / describe if added]. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- What Pro includes: up to 3 TVs, TV home screen themes and clock styles, weather and calendar widgets, photo screensaver, kids timer, unlimited photo helper, and "Optimize again". The features are listed in the app and may change. We'll tell you in the app before removing anything you paid for.
- When Pro ends: your TVs keep working exactly as cleaned. After 7 days, only the Pro widgets and themes on the TV switch off. Restore, undo, history and turning USB debugging off are always free, with or without Pro.
- TV slots: free covers 1 TV; Pro covers 3. You can swap a TV out once every 30 days. You can always restore a TV you have a backup for, even if it no longer has a slot.
- Lifetime: a one-time purchase with no expiry, for as long as TV Cleaner Pro is offered. [Add what happens if the service is discontinued.]
- Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
- Restore purchases: on a new phone with the same Apple ID / Google account, use "Restore purchases".
